Terms of Use

01 Acceptance of the Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Onyric, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you ("you" or "the user") and Onyric ("Onyric", "we", "us", or "our"), the provider of the App.

02 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Onyric. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your country, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

03 Description of the Service

Onyric transforms a dream you describe into an original, AI-generated artwork. You record your dream by voice or type it as text. Your audio is transcribed to text, and that text is used to generate an image.

• Image generation and audio transcription are performed using third-party AI services (OpenAI), accessed through Onyric's secure backend proxy.
• Generated images and dream entries are stored locally on your device. The App does not require an account or login to function.
• Onyric also offers an "Insights" / dream-synthesis feature that summarizes patterns across the dreams you have saved on your device.

Features may change, evolve, or be discontinued over time, as described in Section 13.

04 AI-Generated Content

Onyric's images and text outputs are produced automatically by artificial-intelligence models. Because of how these models work, outputs:

• may be inaccurate, unexpected, or different from what you imagined;
• may not be unique — similar inputs can produce similar results for different users;
• are not reviewed by a human before you receive them.

You are solely responsible for how you use, share, or rely on any content the App generates for you.

Third-party AI processing

To deliver the Service, the dream text and audio you submit are sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI) through our secure backend proxy for transcription and image generation. By using the App, you consent to this processing. Your use of these outputs is also subject to the applicable terms of those providers. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the practices of third-party providers beyond delivering your request and returning the result.

05 Ownership & License of Generated Images

As between you and Onyric, you own the images you generate through the App and may use them for personal or commercial purposes, subject to applicable law and to OpenAI's usage terms governing AI-generated content.

You are responsible for ensuring that your dream descriptions and your use of generated images do not infringe the rights of any third party (see Section 06).

Onyric retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the App itself — including its software, design, branding, name, logo, and underlying technology. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App.

06 Acceptable Use & Prohibited Content

You agree not to use Onyric to create, submit, or distribute content that is unlawful or harmful. In particular, you must not describe, request, or attempt to generate content that:

• is illegal, or promotes illegal activity;
• is hateful, harassing, or discriminatory;
• depicts or facilitates the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors, or is sexually explicit;
• is gratuitously violent or promotes violence;
• infringes the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.

You also agree not to misuse, disrupt, overload, or attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the App, its limits, or its security. We may refuse, remove, or restrict any request or content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.

07 Free Tier, Usage Limits & Onyric Pro

Onyric is free to start. Some features and higher limits are available through Onyric Pro, an auto-renewable subscription.

Free tier

• Includes advertising (see Section 08).
• Limited to 2 dream generations per rolling 7-day period.

Onyric Pro

• Removes ads.
• Produces higher-quality images.
• Raises the limit to 50 generations per rolling 30-day period (a fair-use soft cap).

Billing & renewal

Billing is handled by Apple through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within that window. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.

08 Advertising

Free-tier users are shown advertising served through Google AdMob. Ads are provided by Google and may be subject to Google's own terms and policies. Subscribing to Onyric Pro removes ads from the App.

09 Not Professional Advice

Onyric is not a healthcare provider. If you have concerns about your mental or physical health, please consult a qualified professional. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the App.

10 Privacy

Your use of Onyric is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how your information is handled, including the limited processing of your dream text and audio by third-party AI providers to deliver the Service. Please review it to understand our practices.

11 Disclaimers & "As Is"

The App and all content and features are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that any AI-generated output will meet your expectations, be accurate, or be fit for any particular use.

12 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Onyric and its providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App or any AI-generated content.

To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the App shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13 Changes to the Service & to These Terms

We may modify, add, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App.

Your continued use of Onyric after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the App.

14 Termination

You may stop using Onyric at any time by deleting the App from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or any feature, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

Because dream entries and generated images are stored locally on your device, deleting the App may permanently remove that content. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.

15 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be submitted to the courts of Brasília, Federal District, Brazil, except where mandatory consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in another forum.
